A Tooting pharmacy will hold an open day on medication safety for care home workers.
Pearl Chemist, in Mitcham Road, is offering to help reduce the risk of over or under medicating care home residents by offering pre-measured personalised doses.
Pearl Chemist pharmacist Mayank Patel said: “A care home is a hectic environment with lots of distractions.
"Even the most well trained staff can run the risk of measuring medicine out incorrectly or giving a resident the wrong tablet.
"We pre-measure the medication, both liquids and tablets, into individually sealed, personalised pods, which can reduce the risk of medication mistakes by more than 50 per cent."
The open day runs from 10am to 8pm on Thursday, February 13.
