Motorcyclist in hospital after collision with car in Balham High Road

A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital yesterday following a collision between a motorbike and a car.

Police were called to Marius Road at the junction with Balham High Road just after 4.15pm to reports of a crash.

London Ambulance Service attended and took a man in his 40s, believed to be the motorcyclist, to St George's Hospital, Tooting, as a priority.

The northbound lane of Balham High Road was closed during rush hour while police investigated.

The collision involved a silver BMW and a red Honda motorbike.

No arrests were made.

Not much sympathy for motorcyclists. They are all over the place trying to get from A-Z faster. Find them passing me on both sides and oncoming motorcyclists over the middle line on my side of the road.
