A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital yesterday following reports of a violent assault.
Police were called to an address in Lavender Hill, Clapham just after 2pm and found a man with a serious facial injury.
London Ambulance Service attended and took the man to hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Police cordoned off Wix's Lane footpath, off Lavender Hill, while they investigated yesterday afternoon.
No arrests have been made.
