Eleven Wandsworth primary schools will close tomorrow as the National Union of Teachers go on strike.

The council is advising parents to check their school’s website this evening for any disruption during the strikes tomorrow.

Out of a total 61 primary schools, 11 will be fully closed as a result of strike action including:

  • Eardley
  • Furzedown
  • High View
  • Hillbrook
  • John Burns
  • Penwortham
  • Ravenstone
  • Shaftesbury Park
  • The Alton
  • Trinity St Mary’s
  • (Balham nursery school will also closed)

24 primaries will be completely unaffected while 23 others will open, but some lessons or classes may be disrupted. The Council is still waiting on confirmation from three other primary schools.

About 65 schools out of a total of 81 in the borough are expected to be fully or partially open, although this could change.

Seven of the borough’s 10 secondary schools will partially open. Information is still being sought from the last three remaining secondaries.
