A Putney High School student was named Wandsworth Musician of the Year for 2017 at the grand final of the competition this week.
Year 10 pupil Anna Brown was presented the award alongside Mayor Leslie McDonnell on January 17.
She said: “I felt a bit nervous beforehand but I love playing and really appreciated the chance to perform.
“I was delighted to win as there were many great performances.”
Anna will now also have the chance to perform at the Mayor’s Charity Gala Concert in the Wandsworth Civic Suite on February 6.
Bethany Reeves, another Putney High School student who was in Year 12 at the time, was also awarded the prize last year.
