Big windows, plenty of character and the government-backed NewBuy scheme were all factors in winning over engaged couple Dominic Zammit, 23 and Mary Johnson, 25, to buy an apartment at Noble Park, Epsom.
The couple have bought the apartment off-plan from Linden Homes which is refurbishing a red brick Victorian building into apartments. The couple chose an apartment within Greenbank Court where prices range from £317,500 for a two-bedroom apartment to £829,995 for a five-bedroom detached house.
Dominic said: “Noble Park offers us the best of both worlds. “It’s commutable to London and has countryside nearby. We chose our apartment because it was a refurbished property retaining the original character of the building.”
Dominic who works as a website editor for a law firm added: “We decided to go for the apartment because we could get the NewBuy scheme. The scheme has worked out really well. “We could afford the mortgage repayments but it’s the deposit we needed help with. Linden Homes took us through the process and it was not daunting.”
