Curry Oscar nomination for two Merton restaurants

Chak 89 in Mitcham shortlisted for award at British Curry Awards 2012
Two curry restaurants in Merton have been nominated for an award at an event known as the Oscars of the British curry industry.
Chak 89, in Bond Road, Mitcham, and the Wimbledon Tandoori, in Ridgeway, Wimbledon, have both been shortlisted for an award at the British Curry Awards 2012.
More than 250,000 nominations were received for this year’s awards, with 108 nominees shortlisted to attend a glittering awards ceremony in Battersea on November 26.
Now in its eighth year, the British Curry Awards is recognised as the industry’s premier awards.
