BAFTA: A Life in Pictures - Meryl Streep

Visit The Clapham Picture House for a celebration of the life in pictures of iconic actress Meryl Streep.

The multi-BAFTA-winner and nominated actress will take part in a LIVE broadcast from BAFTA where she will be discussing her extraordinary career.

Meryl Streep has portrayed an astonishing array of roles in a career that has cut its own unique path, from the theatre through to film and television.

Most recently, Streep starred in the box office smash MAMMA MIA! She will next appear in the film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley’s DOUBT opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, and in Nora Ephron’s JULIE & JULIA as the famed master chef, Julia Childs.

Meryl Streep has starred in some of the most remarkable films of the 20th century, such as THE DEER HUNTER, KRAMER VS KRAMER, SOPHIE'S CHOICE and OUT OF AFRICA to name but a few.

This is a rare opportunity to hear from the icon herself.

The Academy's A Life in Pictures events celebrate the art of film, exploring major and distinctive contributions to the artistic development of the film form by BAFTA winners or nominees. This very special strand enables an audience to hear first-hand from a creative force in the industry. Previous focuses have included Anthony Minghella, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, The Coen Brothers, Alfonso Cuarón and many more.
