BRITAIN'S youngest head chef was among the culinary stars which drew in 1,500 guests to the Marlow Food Festival.

The event, held at the MacDonald Compleat Angler Hotel on Sunday, was hailed as a great success by organisers.

Four top chefs held cooking demonstrations including 18 year old Luke Thomas, the country's most youthful head chef from the Sanctum on the Green in Cookham.

Also participating were Clive Dixon, chef patron from the White Oak in Cookham Giancarlo Caldesi, who owns and runs an Italian cookery school and two restaurants, and the Compleat Angler’s new head chef, Neal Dove.

Gaius Wyncoll, General Manager of the Compleat Angler, said: “It was a continual flow of people, we could not have coped with many more really.”
