Spirit of the Dance comes to Epsom

Ireland's international smash-hit Spirit of the Dance will be coming to the Epsom Playhouse Ireland's international smash-hit Spirit of the Dance will be coming to the Epsom Playhouse

An international smash hit of frenzied skill and raw energy will be coming to town with Ireland’s Spirit of the Dance.

The show is regarded as one of Ireland’s most successful dance exports, having been seen by more than 25 million people in 15 countries around the world, and is back at the Epsom Playhouse by popular demand.

Winner of nine Global Awards, including Best Choreography and Best International Production, this foot-stomping spectacular has up to 10 separate dance troupes touring the world, with four permanent shows in America.

Irish in origin and bursting with passion, this explosive and powerful show combines heart-pounding Irish Dance with the sensual Latino rhythms of flamenco and red hot salsa in a thrilling production of strength and passion.

The production will also feature Oliver Lewis, the fastest and most recognised acoustic violinist in the world.  In October 2010 he became the Guinness World Record’s fastest violin player ever after performing ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’ live on BBC1’s Blue Peter in 1 minute 3.356 seconds.

According to the Playhouse, the world champion dancers of the Irish International Dance Company sound like a runaway express train and their dynamic presentation and military precision is promised to send shivers down audience members’ spines.

With brilliant lighting, dazzling costumes, breathtaking choreography, and thunderous applause, Spirit of the Dance is one show not to be missed.
