Richmond band Marner Brown offer renaming rights for money to get started

Marner Brown have decided to get anyone and everyone involved in their debut album, currently being recorded at Big Mushroom Studios - home of The Charlatans.

Through Pledge, a charitable scheme that gives back, bands that are a little strapped for cash ask fans to partly finance the recording of an album, promising an array of exclusives in return.

The band is made up of Fiachra Kerrigan, lead singer and rhythm guitar, Coz Kerrigan on drums, who also does backing vocals, John Wildgoose on keys and backing vocals, Jacob Hollebon on the bass and Chris O’Leary on lead guitar.

Kerrigan, from Richmond Hill, says: “Do something different in helping to finance the recording of our first album. For just £10 you can get a limited ticket to the pledgers-only exclusive gig and be the first to see the album played in full.

“You can pledge for as many things as you like, every pledge includes the digital download as standard.”

There is a variety of other unusual perks, including the chance to hang out backstage or in the recording studio, sing backing vocals, an acoustic gig in your house or possibly the most exciting option – a chance to rename the band.

In addition to this, every pledge will benefit the Princess Alice Hospice, a charity close to the band’s heart, to continue the work it does.
