Croydon welcomes top comics
11:35am Wednesday 29th August 2012 in Comedy By Nick Hitchens
Rich Wilson
Tiger Tiger is preparing to host some of the comedy circuit’s top acts, writes Nick Hitchens.
Jongleurs invites Rich Wilson and Christian Reilly to the stage on September 1.
Wilson began as a comedian eight years ago working the Bullingdon club and has become a regular on the circuit.
Drawing on his experiences as a young father, as well as his perceptive and skewed observations of general life, he has become a firm favourite of Jongleurs, as well as winning praise from Frank Skinner and Time Out.
Christian Reilly started off as musical comedian Otis Lee Crenshaw’s guitar-playing sidekick.
He has become an international comedian playing at key comedy venues, and recently at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The comedian uses guitar and vocals along with stand-up comedy to relate his experiences with wittiness, youth and charm.
Chortle says: “His stand up is witty and heaving with punchlines. He will win over all but the hardest of hearts and minds.”
The venue has two additional positions to fill but has yet to confirm the bookings.
Jongleurs, High Street, Croydon; September 1, 7.30pm, tickets £25 including a two-course meal; doors open at 7.30pm; for more information visit tigertiger-croydon.co.uk or call 020 8662 4949.
