The Half Moon in Putney will have its fair share of musicians visiting its doors this autumn.

This September it will host a number of exciting acts that will prove that the pub-gig scene is still very much alive.

Two acts gracing the stage will be the David Sinclair Four, with support from American singer-songwriter Jesse Terry.

Frontman David Sinclair is the rock critic for The Times and with his four-piece band have released three albums, and with their hard-hitting blues rock style hope to shake up the Half Moon.

Currently writing their fourth album, the band have been gigging through the UK through the year. They have built quite the reputation as a live band, appearing onstage alongside Wilko Johnson, The Oli Brown Band and many others.

They have also played a range of festivals through the year, including Festival of the Sea, Proud Camden and Bluesfest among others.

Playing alongside them is internationally award-winning Jesse Terry, who has been compared to the likes of Ryan Adams and Jackson Browne and consistently praised for his hard work.

He has gathered a selection of prizes in his time, winning the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, The NSA/CMT Song Contest and The We Are Listening Singer/Songwriter Awards, playing in front of US and Nato troops in Greenland as well.

David Sinclair Four and Jesse Terry; the Half Moon pub, 93 Lower Richmond Road, Putney; September 30, show starts at 8pm, £8 advance, £10 on the door; call 020 8780 9383 or visit halfmoon.co.uk.
