Get the White Russians on the bar ready because the festival dedicated to the Coen brothers’ classic comedy The Big Lebowski is heading to London for the first time since 2009.
Lebowski Fest, the travelling festival that celebrates all things to do with the cult film, will be at Greenwich’s Brooklyn Bowl on September 25, with special guests to be announced.
Typically the festival – which has been held in over 30 cities since 2002 – includes The Movie Party with a band and a screening of the film and The Bowling Party, which includes a costume contests, trivia, entertainment and unlimited bowling.
Brooklyn Bowl’s nightclub-cum-bowling alley set up makes it a perfect venue.
White Russians will clearly be the drink of choice and many actors from the film have been known to show up at Lebowski Fest in the past including The Dude himself Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi and John Turturro.
