A celebration of craft beer will return to Croydon following a successful launch last October.

The second Croydon Craft Beer Festival will be held at Braithwaite Hall from March 17 to 19 with a larger selection of beers from more than 100 breweries from London and around the world.

There will also be live music and snacks such as sausage rolls, scotch eggs and other treats from independent farms.

Breweries such as Belleville, By the Horns, Gipsy Hill, Windsor and Eton, Crate and Kernel will all be involved.

Croydon’s own The Cronx will brew a special London Stout for St Patrick’s Day, which falls on the Thursday of the festival.

Croydon councillor Mark Watson said: “Last year’s festival was absolutely brilliant and I’m delighted to be welcoming another one so soon. Braithwaite Hall is a fantastic asset for the local community to host wonderful events like this, and it shows off how Croydon’s cultural scene and night-time economy is thriving. I’m proud to be part of putting this festival together, and I hope everyone comes out to join us again for a drink!”

The Croydon Craft Beer Festival is in Braithwaite Hall from 5pm to 10pm on Thursday, March 17, and Friday, March 18, and noon to 10pm on Saturday, March 19. Tickets cost £4. Go to croydonbeerfest.co.uk
