Jazz nights at a renowned venue saved from closure by music greats are in full swing.

The newly refurbished Bulls Head in Barnes, which has hosted shows by Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood, is continuing the list of stellar line-ups ready to play throughout March.

To start the month, the Quentin Collins Quartet, featuring trumpeter Mike Gorman, will take the stage on Saturday, March 8.

The British trumpeter has recorded and played with international artists including Craig David, Basement Jaxx, Beverley Knight, Natalie Williams and Prince.

He will be joined by one of the UK’s leading jazz pianists, bassist Mark Lewandowski and drummer Shane Forbes, for a night of jazz.

The following day audiences can enjoy a lunchtime swing session with Trio Manouche, featuring the vocals of special guest Purdy, Britain’s answer to Peggy Lee with a touch of Julie London.

The Gypsy Swing ensemble will perform inspired re-worked classics of Django Reinhardt as well as to their own material penned by band leader Simon Harris, who brings a unique and contemporary twist to the ever-popular genre.
