Hatful of Rain, a bluegrass group from East Sussex, are set to take Twickenham by storm this weekend.
Originally forming in 2009, the trio released the EP Evangeline and have maintained their traditional folk roots in their songs.
Robert Smith of TwickFolk says: “Hatful of Rain play both traditional and original material and their music combines Bluegrass, Americana and elements of Old Time.
“The group’s lead singer, Chloe Overton, who also plays guitar and mandolin, has a captivating voice.
“She is joined on stage by three men – James Shenton on fiddle and Phil Jones and Fred Gregory who also sing and play mandolin, guitar, clawhammer banjo and double bass.
“In the style of early American radio station broadcasts, they perform around one shared microphone – which makes them a joy to watch and creates a warm, soulful atmosphere.”
