The sounds of Elvis and American motown will come to Hersham this summer as Burhill Golf Club hosts its first musical festival.

Two open air picnic concerts will take place at the golf club, with the UK’s number one Elvis tribute, Suspiciously Elvis, and Motown Supremacy on the bill.

Ivor Potter and his band will perform the king’s greatest hits on the first night of the festival, Saturday, July 26, and hope to bring a little bit of Elvis’s charm to Hersham.

The second night of the festival, Saturday, August 2, will see classic motown hits including Baby Love, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and Dancing in the Streets performed.

David Woodward, general manager of Burhill Golf Club, said: "Music is a great way of getting people together and live bands provide great evening entertainment that all the family can enjoy."

The bands will perform in a 5,000-capacity marquee and family picnic packages are available.
