Hit two-tone band The Beat, featuring Ranking Roger, will bring their Ska-fusion rhythms to Croydon.
The band, whose hits include Mirror in the Bathroom and Too Nice to Talk to You, will play the regular Stand! gig at Fairfield Halls on Thursday, October 8.
Formed in Birmingham in 1978, they were part of the scene which saw the foundation of groups such as The Specials, The Selecter and, down in London, Madness.
Support comes from south Londoners Trambeat.
Tickets cost £15 or £5 students. Go to www.fairfieldhalls.co.uk or call 020 8688 9291.
