Warlingham Flute Band is holding its 59th annual concert.

Conducting this year is Judith Koral, who will be leading the band in a varied selection of music including film scores, show tunes, marches, light classical and popular modern day pieces.

The band will be raising money for charity Help For Heroes, with merchandise available on the night.

Band president, Mick Harewood, said: "I am very proud to have played in the first annual concert which was held on Saturday 18 April 1953 and in all the annual concerts since then. "I was Bandmaster for over 50 years and subject to my health I expect to be playing again this year."

The band was formed in 1932 as the 1st Warlingham Scout Band. It is now affiliated to Warlingham Old Scouts Association now called the Warlingham B-P Scout Guild. Warlingham Flute Band play the Church Hall, Warlingham 7.30pm on Saturday March 10.
