Frankie Bridge has said she needs to discover her fiery side for her upcoming performance on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Saturdays singer will swap the cheeky Charleston for the passionate Paso Doble on this week's show, and confessed the fiery nature of her new dance is very much out of character for her.

When asked on spin-off show It Takes Two what viewers could expect from her Movie Week turn, to the classic West Side Story tune America, she said: "Well hopefully some aggression, a bit more fire, a bit of feistiness maybe. That's what I'm going for anyway."

She said it was tough being aggressive in the training room, because she and professional dance partner Kevin Clifton are always joking around.

"It's hard because, especially with Kevin, our relationship isn't really like that, we just laugh and take the mick out of each other... It's hard to look at him. Because when Kevin's going for it I just can't take him seriously. He is amazing at it but the two just don't go together."

Pop star Frankie confessed that although her last dance on the BBC show was more fun, she had still found it harder than she thought.

"That was quite a challenge for me, the Charleston," she said. "I thought it would feel comfortable because it's quite upbeat and I'm used to having to dance like that, but there was a lot [of choreography] in one song."

Having been given a score of 30 for her first two dances by the Strictly judges, Frankie said she was aiming to go a bit higher this week.

"It would be nice just to even get one point more so we feel like we've moved on, but you can't complain with 30."

Strictly's Movie Week will see all the celebrities dancing to classic songs from the big screen.

TV interviewer Alison Hammond and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec have a jive to Footloose from the film of the same name, EastEnders actor Jake Wood and Janette Manrara will perform the Godfather Waltz from the mobster flick and Blue's Simon Webbe and his pro Kristina Rihanoff will execute a romantic Rumba to Berlin's Take My Breath Away from Top Gun.

There will also be ballroom takes on hits from Beauty And The Beast, Mamma Mia! and Cabaret.
