Amy Adams has revealed she is more than willing to let other people hold her awards.

The 40-year-old actress has won trophies for her performances in American Hustle, The Fighter and The Master, as well as picking up two Golden Globe gongs for American Hustle and Big Eyes, and she isn’t selfish when it comes to letting other people have a go of the gongs.

The mother-of-one stores her prizes on a “wall of oddities” at her home in Los Angeles.

“We have a wall of oddities, I call it. There’s something from my grandfather which I inherited, and a couple of toys from my fiance’s childhood, those odds and ends, and I keep them up on that shelf,” she said.

“It’s really a bookcase with all weird things, so they go nicely in there. It just becomes a collection of strange artefacts.”

She added: “My friends who come over want to hold the Golden Globes – that’s the ones they’re interested the most – and I let them hold it straight on, without gloves.”

Amy revealed she isn’t disappointed by her Oscars snub, despite winning critical praise and acclaim for playing artist Margaret Keane in Tim Burton’s drama, Big Eyes.

She has been nominated for an Academy Award five times, most recently in 2014 for her role in American Hustle, but has never won.

“Just to be part of the conversation is always a positive thing, but I’m a huge cheerleader for other actresses getting attention and getting to go, so I’m going to cheer for whoever’s there,” she said.

“I’ve been there, and I’ve been very lucky so I feel it’s time to return that favour.”
