Naya Rivera has pinned down her first post-Glee role – she will be starring in Devious Maids.

The actress, who made her name as tough cheerleader Santana Lopez in the high school musical drama, will appear in season three of Devious Maids on US channel Lifetime, according to E! News.

She is set for a recurring role as new maid Bianca, who arrives in Beverly Hills and discovers a terrible secret that could change her life forever.

Glee is due to wrap its final sixth season this spring, but Naya has another job lined up, too – she has been asked to come back and co-host some more episodes of US talk show The View.

Naya hit the headlines after an appearance on The View earlier this year when, while discussing her new husband Ryan Dorsey, she claimed: “White people shower a lot more than ethnics. I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing.”

She later apologised and said she had made the comment in jest.

Series three of Devious Maids will air later this year.
