Beck, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Sia and Mary J Blige have joined the star-studded line-up of performers on the Grammys stage.
They will belt out their hits at the Los Angeles ceremony on Sunday (January 8), alongside previously announced performers including Sir Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Rihanna, Madonna, AC/DC and Ed Sheeran.
With Taylor Swift too busy focusing on her 1989 world tour to sing at the Grammys, we take a look at the acts who will be gracing the stage…
1) Sia
This will be the first Grammys performance for the Australian singer-songwriter, who is up for four awards including record of the year, song of the year and best music video for Chandelier. She’s sure to make a striking debut.
2) Katy Perry
While rumours have yet to be confirmed, Katy is reportedly planning to sing By The Grace Of God, a touching ballad from her latest album Prism. And judging by her amazing Super Bowl halftime show, the Roar singer is sure to put on a visually arresting spectacle. She might even bring on some famous friends as she did at the Super Bowl – in the form of Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz.
3) Madonna
Madonna has been hard at work preparing for her Grammys performance. The Queen of Pop will perform Living For Love, the lead single from her new album Rebel Hearts. Madge knows how to put on a show, following her collaboration with Gorillaz in 2006 and Macklemore and Mary Lambert at the 2014 ceremony, who sang Same Love as 33 same-sex couples had their marriage officiated by Queen Latifah.
4) Sir Paul McCartney, Rihanna and Kanye West
The trio will debut a live performance of their new single, FourFiveSeconds, while Kanye will also deliver a solo performance. Kanye’s no stranger to controversy, so we wonder what he has planned up his sleeve. A rant at the Grammy board perhaps? Or will he interrupt someone’s winning speech?
5) Sir Tom Jones and Jessie J
The former Voice judges, who previously collaborated on Mockingbird, will reunite on the Grammys stage, although both are keeping tight-lipped over their duet. Will Tom be joining Jessie for a rendition of her Grammy-nominated song Bang Bang?
6) Annie Lennox and Hozier
Grammy nominees Annie and Irish musician Andrew Hozier-Byrne, better known as Hozier, will be teaming up for a duet. Will they sing his Grammy-nominated hit, Take Me To Church, or will they be Walking On Broken Glass? Only time will tell.
7) Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine
With their stunning vocals and stylish outfits, Gwen and Adam – who are fellow Voice US coaches – are sure to stand out. They are tipped to perform their track, My Heart Is Open, from Maroon 5′s latest album V.
8) Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga
They’ve already performed on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and toured together, but now Tony and Lady Gaga will be bringing their Cheek To Cheek collaboration to the Grammys.
9) AC/DC
The Australian rockers are returning to the awards for the first time in over 14 years are. Such a long hiatus already makes this performance worth the wait.
10) Ed Sheeran
Ed, whose second album X is nominated for album of the year, is sure to wow the audience with his set, which will feature former Grammy winners Herbie Hancock, John Mayer and Questlove. We’re hoping it’ll include his No 1 single Thinking Out Loud, although the uptempo Sing would be more suited to the spirit of the evening. Ed is also teaming up with Jeff Lynne’s ELO.
11) Mary J Blige and Sam Smith
Having duetted on four tracks on Mary’s new album, The London Sessions, the duo are to take the Grammys stage together. Will they indulge the crowds in Therapy? Let’s hope so.
12) Beck and Chris Martin
Three-time Grammy winner Beck, who is up for four awards this year, will perform a song from his Grammy-nominated album Morning Phase alongside nominee Chris.
13) Pharrell Williams
In 2014, Pharrell played an unforgettable set with Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder. Who will be his special guests in 2015?
Other performers include Ariana Grande, Usher, Juanes, Miranda Lambert, Brandy Clark and Dwight Yoakam.
There are also rumours that Beyonce will join Common and John Legend for a performance of the Oscar-nominated track Glory from civil rights movie Selma.
