Not that long ago Tom Hiddleston and Eddie Redmayne were both nominated for the Bafta Rising Star award.
Now they’re both walking the red carpet at the same event at London’s Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
Tom will be presenting an award for the outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer and Eddie is up for leading actor award for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything.
But if Eddie wins, will Tom be getting a mention?
“I have known Eddie since I was 14, that’s 20 years,” said Tom as he was interviewed by Countdown’s Rachel Riley as part of the Bafta’s live screening red carpet action.
“I once played the right front leg of an elephant that Eddie Redmayne was riding on in an adaptation of A Passenger To India.
“I’m pleased to see he’s gone on to great things.”
And Tom, who turns 34 tomorrow, revealed he will be hitting the after parties to hopefully network with some future colleagues.
He is due to start filming King Kong movie Skull Island later this year with JK Simmons, who he already knows, and Birdman star and Bafta leading-actor nominee Michael Keaton, who he has yet to meet.
