Coachella festival sees the coolest kids from the world of music, fashion and art come out to play in floral headbands and fringed vests to revel in the heat of the California desert.
This year’s incredible line-up featured Drake, AC/DC, Florence and the Machine and Alt-J just to name a few, and its reputation as a clean, organised and relatively well-behaved festival draws celebrities to it like flies to a turd.
There’s a distinct lack of mud fights, bottles of wee thrown around and piles of post-amphetamine vomit buried in the grass, which makes Coachella a safe place to show off your hottest festival garms.
Here’s our round-up of A-list Coachella-goers, and what they wore.
Beyonce breezed into festival dressing in this gorgeous flowing chiffon maxi dress, hat and sunnies. Her black leather ankle boots toughen up the look but also keep things practical – Queen Bey doesn’t want anyone standing on her toes while she’s trying to pull shapes in the Sahara Tent.
After causing an internet frenzy with her covetable outfits at last year’s festival, Kendall Jenner proved once again that she’s got festival fashion down to a T. Ken Jen left her weird giant nose ring at home this year and opted for a bang-on-trend 70s cropped top and maxi skirt.
Not to be outdone by her older sister, Kylie Jenner let her turquoise wig do the talking, keeping her white-on-white shorts, cropped top and sleeveless vest simple.
FKA Twigs proves she can literally wear anything – even this completely shapesless potato sack-ish chiffon thing – and look so effortlessly cool it hurts. Can we be you, please Twigs?
Also in attendence was Amber Rose, showing off her voluminous backside in jeans and a cropped top and a cute matching tartan two piece. Let’s just hope she didn’t run into any of the Kardashian clan after she blasted Kylie, Khloe AND Kim on Twitter back in February. Awkward…
How cute does Fergie look in this very 70s fringed waistcoat, denim shorts and ankle boots? The former Black Eyed Peas star also hung out with Kylie J. They’ve really got the “agh, I’ve got a headache but I still want to be in this picture” pose down, don’t ya think?
Hold up everybody, Drake is in the house and he’s wearing an all-red-everything tracksuit. Oh, and a coordinating Apple Watch, obviously. We hope he brought his charger, that thing’s battery life is NOT going to last the whole weekend.
Paris and Nicky Hilton co-ordinate outfits for the bajillionth time in cute, airy crochet numbers. Paris gets extra style points for the cute cat ears but we’re not sure Nicky’s made the right footwear choice with those flimsy-looking sandals. We hope she’s not planning on getting in a mosh pit any time soon.
Katy Perry got reunited with her beloved left shark, who has apparently been demoted to a trash can since his shenanigans at the Superbowl. On the upside, Katy’s coordinating cropped top and skirt are to die for.
We like a man who can dress for a festival, especially one who wears jazzy shirts like Tyler the Creator. The rapper blew the Coachella crowds away with his set, and won our hearts with his bright blue shirt and yellow shorts.
Long blonde flowing locks? Check. Denim hotpants? Check. Something fringed and suede? Check. Gigi Hadid has the Kate Moss at Glastonbury circa 2005 look DOWN. The only difference is that her arm candy looks considerably cleaner than Pete Doherty did back in the day.
Yep, that’s Bella Hadid wearing THE sneaker of the moment, the Addidas Superstar. Bella teamed her dangerously white trainers with a cute off-shoulder crochet dress and a bikini on Saturday, after wearing a cute black body and denim shorts combo on Friday.
Here’s Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland looking all kinds of cute in a matching beige skirt and waistcoat and oversized floppy hat to keep the Cali rays off her face.
Bella Thorne knows how to nail fuss-free festival dressing; cute cropped top, denim shorts and flower garland on her head. Done.
Ultra-cool singer Kimbra looks every inch the festival queen in her abstract print cropped top, oversized round sunnies and cover-up dangling off her arms.
The Haim sisters basically look like they’re fest-ready all the time, so it’s no surprise that these three have the effortlessly cool Coachella look down. Note the matchy bed hair, sunnies and killer legs. Can we have some of your good genes, please?
Apparently Justin Bieber has been hanging out with Vine celebrity Nash Grier all weekend, and the two have matching man buns.
Check out Charlotte Kemp Muhl from super-cool band The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger. Her ethereal headband, blue lipstick and tousled hairdo make her one of Coachella’s coolest fashion babes.
Julianne Hough knows that the perfect time to debut your new pastel locks is at the festival of the year.
And finally, here’s Jhene Aiko, making you wish you’d spent more time in the gym and less time bonding with your Netflix account and scoffing Easter eggs. Look at those abs!
