Jeremy Jackson was reportedly arrested after the alleged stabbing of a man in Los Angeles at the weekend.
The Los Angeles Times reported the former Baywatch star – who took part in the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother in January – fled the scene in LA’s Westlake neighbourhood before police arrived.
The unidentified victim reportedly suffered a stab wound to his left upper torso.
The Country Sheriff’s Department told the newspaper the victim identified his attacker as “Hobie”, the name of Jackson’s Baywatch character. The 34-year-old former child star played David Hasselhoff’s on-screen son in the hit show from 1991 to 2000.
Jackson was arrested on Saturday evening after police received a phone call about a suspicious man walking around the area. His bail was set at 30,000 dollars (£19,490) and he was released later that night.
Jackson has claimed to gossip website TMZ.com he acted in self defence, after he was the victim of an attempted robbery at a party he threw at an AirBnB venue.
The actor was arrested in 2005 for setting up a meth lab in his home. He has battled addiction for several years and in 2011, appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew.
Jackson was kicked out of Celebrity Big Brother UK after he exposed the breasts of fellow housemate, reality star Chloe Goodman.
