Corrie’s Ben Price says he enjoyed playing his kiss scene with Alison King.
Ben’s alter ego Nick Tilsley could be heading for a new romance with Carla Connor (Alison), after they shared a quick peck on the lips following a wine tasting.
The star said after watching the scene back on Good Morning Britain: “I missed last night’s episode… I like that, nice and awkward!”
The actor added: “It’s really nice playing those scenes with Ali, She’s good fun. We’re in the bistro. It’s quite relaxed and you lose yourself a bit.”
Ben refused to spill the beans on whether the kiss would lead to anything more, saying: “No, yes, no, yes, no… It’s the way it works in soaps!”
He added: “I think they’ve always had a little eye for each other. There’s a little spark.”
Viewers will also see bistro owner Ben’s ex Erica Holroyd return with news for the lothario – that she’s having his baby.
“The audience think, ‘Oh they’re (Nick and Carla) going to get together and then Erica comes back and drops a bombshell,” Ben said.
Ben also joked about Take Me Out star Paddy McGuinness’s guest role on the cobbles, as a wilderness survival enthusiast, saying: “I don’t think he’s my love interest!”
Asked if he expected Paddy to play a lot of practical jokes, he added: “People have a little giggle and then get on to the street and it’s quite a thing. It’s quite a big thing.”
