Karen Gillan and Natascha McElhone are on the judging panel for this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF).
The Doctor Who star and Californication actress have been confirmed as guest jurors at the 69th festival from June 17 to 28, which will also welcome Spaced’s Jessica Hynes and actor Dennis Lawson.
Festival organisers previously announced that Ewan McGregor and fellow Scot Robert Carlyle will appear to showcase their new films.
The event will open with Carlyle’s directorial debut set in Glasgow, The Legend Of Barney Thomson, which stars Emma Thompson and Ray Winstone.
Gillan will appear at the festival to promote the short film she directed, Coward, while Stephen Tompkinson and Keith Allen will attend with their film Hector.
Awards will be given for best British film, best performance in a British feature, best international feature, best documentary and best short film.
EIFF artistic director Mark Adams said: “We very much look forward to welcoming guests from all over the world to help us celebrate this year’s fantastic programme of films and events.
“It’s a huge honour for us to welcome some amazing filmmakers and acting talent, and for us to be able to share this with our audiences throughout two fantastic weeks of cinema here in Edinburgh in June.”
