TV presenter Laura Hamilton says she is “lucky” to be able to go back to work so soon after the birth of her daughter.
The star, who hosts property show A Place In The Sun, gave birth to daughter Tahlia on May 8 after going into labour a week before her planned Caesarean.
She told Hello! magazine she had to call her colleagues to tell them: “I won’t be in today because I had a baby this morning.”
Laura, who already has a son called Rocco with husband Alex Goward, said: “This time I was pregnant at almost exactly the same time as the Duchess of Cambridge, although they have a 21-month gap between their children and we have only 18 months.
“She looked so amazing when she came out of hospital. I wish I’d looked like that. After a traumatic birth, there was no way I could leave hospital hours later looking so immaculate.”
The presenter, who took five weeks off after the birth of her first child, is already back at work filming A Place in the Sun.
She said: “I find it very difficult to switch off. That doesn’t mean my family isn’t everything to me – I’m very lucky that I can take them with me – I just want to enjoy it for as long as it lasts.”
