Zach Galifianakis is in talks to voice The Joker in the Lego Batman movie.
The Hangover star is in final negotiations to lend his voice to Batman’s archenemy, the Clown Prince of Crime, in the Warner Bros spin-off of The Lego Movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 45-year-old actor would join Will Arnett, who reprises his role as the Caped Crusader, and Michael Cera, who will play Batman’s sidekick Robin.
Chris McKay will direct the superhero adventure, which has been written by Seth Grahame-Smith.
Zach, who also starred in Alejando G Inarritu’s Birdman Or (The Unexpected Virtue Of Ignorance), has worked in animation before, having voiced Humpty Dumpty in DreamWorks Animation’s Puss In Boots, and characters in The Simpsons and American Dad!
He will next star in comedy Keeping Up With The Joneses alongside Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot, and TV show Baskets, which he executive produces with Louis CK.
