Scream Queens, a new comedy-horror show with a cast including Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin and Jamie Lee Curtis, premieres in the US tonight.
The satirical slasher horror series, co-created by Ryan Murphy, the man behind Glee and American Horror Story, is set in a university where a killer is murdering sorority girls.
There is already a huge amount of hype ahead of the launch, and understandably so. Glee and American Horror Story have been huge hits with viewers, critics and awards judges.
Not only that but Ryan is teaming up with Glee star Lea, American Horror Story’s Emma and original Scream Queen Jamie, star of Halloween.
The first season focuses on the Kappa sorority, at Wallace University, where events spark the resurfacing of a 20-year old murder mystery, and the Red Devil threatens to strike again.
The show airs on Fox in the US and does not yet have a UK broadcaster, but here is a quick guide to who’s who in Scream Queens.
Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin
Diva Chanel is president of the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority and definitely makes enemies more easily than friends.
Jamie Lee Curtis as Cathy Munsch
The dean of the university, Cathy hates sorority girls and forces Chanel to allow any girl who wants to be a part of Kappa Kappa Tau.
Lea Michele as Hester “Neckbrace” Ulrich
A shy girl with scoliosis who signs up as one of Kappa’s latest pledges.
Abigail Breslin as Chanel #5
A ditzy member of Kappa and one of Chanel’s minions.
Keke Palmer as Zayday Williams
Zayday is a bright and feisty girl with little interest in being a sorority girl, but becomes a Kappa pledge just for the ride.
Skyler Samuels as Grace Gardner
A Kappa pledge joining KKT because her late mother was in the same sorority.
Diego Boneta as Pete Martínez
The university’s newspaper editor and Grace’s love interest.
