Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has scored his first solo number one album in nine years with Rattle That Lock.

The rocker last topped the Official Album Charts 10 months ago when Pink Floyd released The Endless River, but this is the first solo album for Gilmour since 2006′s On An Island.

David, 69, said: “It’s thrilling to get a number one album; we all want to hit the top spot, however long we’ve been at it. I’m delighted.”

Rattle That Lock sold nearly 20,000 more copies than Lana Del Rey’s Honeymoon, which took the second spot.

Sir Cliff Richard marked his upcoming 75th birthday with a new collection, 75 at 75 – 75 Career Spanning Hits, which earned him fourth position in the album charts and pushed his total number of top 10 albums to 43.

In the Official Singles Chart, Justin Bieber’s What Do You Mean? spent a third consecutive week at number one.

The track broke the world streaming record on its release and notched up another 3.2 million listens in the last week alone.

This meant the Jackson 5-sampling Easy Love by Sigala remained in second place, while Locked Away by R City featuring Adam Levine leapt 13 places to the number three spot.
