A new trailer for the BBC’s upcoming drama slate reveals tantalising glimpses of TV favourites including Sherlock, Luther, Doctor Who, Call The Midwife and Happy Valley.

The video is fronted by Suranne Jones, who recites Ella Wheeler Wilcox’s moving poem, Solitude, as she weaves in clips from the BBC’s drama slate.

The montage features a shot of assistant Clara Oswald hugging The Doctor, Mick Carter looking pained in EastEnders, and Sarah Lancashire in uniform as Catherine Cawood in Happy Valley.

New dramas are also teased, with footage of Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie in The Night Manager.

Other programmes featured in the montage include Peaky Blinders, War And Peace, The Fall, Close To The Enemy, Hollow Crown, Head In Paradise, Line Of Duty, And Then There Were None, Silent Witness, Dickensian and Undercover.
