Coldplay have brought out the music video to the first single from their new album – and it features the band transformed into dancing gorillas.

The gorillas are first perplexed as they hear Adventure Of A Lifetime through their speakers, but they quickly embrace the song, dancing through the jungle and even having a go with electric guitars and drums.

Here’s 7 things we learned from the video.

1. Gorillas dance like your dad on New Year’s Eve when he’s had too much champagne.

2. Either gorillas are fascinated by a particular brand of speaker, or Coldplay have embraced product placement. It wasn’t quite seamless.

3. The Coldplay gang showed off their acting skills as they were transformed into gorillas using motion capture and CGI.

4. The performance capture consultant was Andy Serkis, who has previously created The Lord of the Rings’ Gollum, Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars, and King Kong.

5.Gorillas are really, really good at synchronised dancing.

6. There’s a certain parallel to the Paradise music video, which featured elephants.

7. The film had the perfect dedication.

Coldplay’s new album, A Head Full Of Dreams, is out December 4.
