After years of rumours, it’s almost too good to be true: the cast of Friends will reunite for a two-hour special. Could we be any more excited?
We first met Rachel, Ross, Monica, Phoebe, Joey and Chandler in 1994, and Friends spent the next decade as the world’s most iconic sitcom – before the actors went their separate ways in 2004.
But now Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are on board for the special which will be broadcast as a tribute to director James Burrows. Here’s how they looked in the nineties – and what they look like now…
Courteney Cox (Monica Geller)
Courteney, 51, has starred in hit TV series Cougar Town. Her latest film, Mother’s Day, is due for release later this year.
Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green)
Jennifer, 46, who last year wed Justin Theroux at a secret ceremony at their LA mansion, has gone on to star in romantic comedies such as Marley And Me, and He’s Just Not That Into You.
Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing)
Matthew, 46, has appeared in films such as 17 Again and TV series including Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip. He has spoken about his problems with drug and alcohol addiction.
Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay)
Lisa, 52, has appeared in a string of TV series and films, including Web Therapy, The Comeback, and Bad Neighbours. She will play Monica in The Girl On The Train, due later this year.
David Schwimmer (Ross Geller)
David, 49, who has had a successful movie and stage career since his Friends days, will star as Robert Kardashian in American Crime Story.
Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani)
Matt, 48, filmed a short-lived spin-off sitcom Joey after Friends ended. He currently stars in the successful show Episodes, as an exaggerated version of himself.
