Coronation Street actress Paula Lane has given birth to her second child.
The soap star took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that she and husband Tom Shaw had welcomed a daughter.
She wrote: “She’s here! The latest addition to the Shaw clan is doing great. @SirTomShaw and I are feeling blessed and very lucky.”
Paula did not reveal any further details but Tom reposted her message, which gained over 1,000 likes within two hours.
The 30-year-old actress and her husband are also parents to one-year-old son Arthur, who was born in December 2014.
Paula confirmed she was pregnant in January and revealed the following month she would be quitting Coronation Street later in the year.
Earlier this month, the TV show’s viewers saw Paula’s character Kylie Platt die the arms of husband David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) after she was murdered by thug Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison).
She filmed her final scenes for the ITV soap in June after playing the role of Kylie since 2010.
Fans of the star have taken to the social networking site to congratulate her on her happy news, plenty of tweets expressing their joy.
