Brand is OK, says Katy Perry's dad

Katy Perry's dad has apparently said he has no hard feelings towards Russell Brand.

Keith Hudson is in contact with his daughter's ex-husband, and still thinks he's a great bloke, the Daily Star reports.

"There are no hard feelings towards Russell," Keith is reported to have said.

"He is a wonderful and smart guy. I just received a text from him the other day in fact."

He went on: "Katy's career got really busy and she did not get to see that much of Russell. It was just one of those things."

Katy and British comedian Russell, who married in India in 2010 following a whirlwind romance, filed for divorce in December after spending time apart due to work commitments. The pair cited "irreconcilable differences" in their split.
