Michael Douglas will be back on the big screen in an ensemble comedy
Michael Douglas is returning to the big screen after battling throat cancer.
The 67-year-old Wall Street actor is close to signing up for ensemble comedy Last Vegas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Douglas was linked to the project a few years ago, before being diagnosed with cancer in 2010.
The star, who has two children with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 42, will play a notorious playboy who finally decides to settle down and get married.
He decides to throw a stag do in Las Vegas and invites his best friends to come and party with him.
It isn't known who else will star in the film, although Empire reports that Jack Nicholson was once linked to the project.
Last Vegas will be directed by Jon Turteltaub and will start shooting later this year.
