Jessica Simpson joked that she will be giving birth wearing her heels
Jessica Simpson has joked that her feet feel "homesick" for heels now that she is heavily pregnant.
The US star is expecting a baby girl with her fiance Eric Johnson and has had to swap her usual towering heels for flatter shoes in the later stages of her pregnancy.
She tweeted: "I can't wait for the day I can walk in heels again! My feet feel homesick!"
Style-conscious Jessica previously joked to Us Weekly that she was such a fan of fancy footwear she would have a pair strapped on when she welcomed her baby.
She said: "I went to the doctor yesterday and he said, 'You're gonna need to get out of those heels!' I was like, 'Excuse me! I'll be delivering in these heels!'."
The singer and actress also told Elle magazine she hopes her daughter inherits her love of fashion.
"I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!" she said earlier this year.
