Jack The Giant Killer is 'epic'
Eddie Marsan has described Jack The Giant Killer as an epic.
The British actor, who next stars in Snow White And The Huntsman, has a role in Bryan Singer's modern take of Jack And The Giant Beanstalk opposite Nicholas Hoult and Ewan McGregor.
"It's an epic. It's just like Snow White And The Huntsman in that it's a fairytale, but with all the technology and money we have now, it's going to be an epic," he said.
Eddie is keeping tight-lipped about the film's plot, but said: "I play a character who's a guardian of the princess, and myself and Ewan McGregor are a double act."
The 43-year-old portrays a dwarf in Rupert Sanderson's reimagining of the Snow White fairytale alongside Ray Winstone, Nick Frost, Ian McShane and Bob Hoskins.
"It was great fun. We had five hours of make-up and sitting in a chair like caged animals, and when they let us out on to set in our costumes, we were really naughty. We were terrible! If they put it on the DVD extras, it would be X-rated," he admitted.
Eddie described his character as the "tough nut", and added: "Ray Winstone was the head but in a sense, the honorary chairman was Bob Hoskins. He's the daddy of us all, but Ray was the boss."
:: Snow White And The Huntsman opens in cinemas on May 30.
