He is known for his mischievous way in the Wallace and Gromit classic A Close Shave, but this Easter, Shaun the Sheep is leaving the Aardman-created land for Kew Gardens.

Wandsworth Times:

The much-loved sheep, which recently starred in his first feature length film, brings a host of his friends to revel in the gardens this spring, and wants children and adults to join him.

The Shaun the Sheep themed spring event at the Royal Botanic Gardens celebrates the beauty of nature and encourages visitors to enjoy the British countryside and its array of wildflowers.

As part of the event, a number of activities take place including the spring lamb springtime trail.

Timmy, the little lamb from Shaun’s flock, will bounce around the gardens and children can spend a morning finding out who the young sheep has been bouncing with among the flowers.

The vegetable orchestra will take over the Princess of Wales Conservatory film room, with musicians playing comedy vegetable instruments to celebrate the healthy treats.

Continuing with the Shaun the Sheep theme, visitors will also have the chance to learn how some of the sound effects from the movie were created.

And if that was not enough sheep-themed fun, Shaun’s madcap meadow will be open and awaiting adventurers.

Youngsters can try their hand at wellie wanging, making their way around the sheep hopper maze and enjoy a sheepdog trial.

On Easter Sunday, April 5, visitors can also join Shaun and his friends for Kew’s annual Easter egg hunt.
