Cult TV show The League Of Gentlemen could be set for a comeback.

Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the comedy troupe, whose surreal and acclaimed off-the-wall show began on stage before moving to radio and then TV.

Set in the fictional Northern village of Royston Vasey, the dark series was created by comedy quartet Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith and Jeremy Dyson.

Asked whether a reunion was on the cards, Reece told Radio Times magazine: "I think we will do something again.

"We've started to talk about a thing. It might not be Royston Vasey, but just collaborating again would be great."

The BBC series ended in 2002 and a movie version hit the big screen in 2005.

There have previously been rumours that the show could return.

Reece is starring in ITV drama Chasing Shadows.
