Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy have put aside their differences to film a promo for the new series of The Muppets… sort of.
The couple, who earlier this month announced they were breaking up after almost 40 years together, teamed up to announce the show will return to ABC in the US at the end of September.
But when Piggy takes a tumble on camera and Kermit tries to help her, she snaps: “Get your hands off me. It’s a little too late to show that you care now, don’t you think? You’re the one who broke up with me, remember?”
Piggy also tells Kermit: “We are through! Finito! I have moved on!”
The pair confirmed their break-up at a biannual ABC panel for TV critics. A statement followed on their official Twitter accounts.

The new series of The Muppets will air in the UK on Sky 1 later this year.
