The Celebrity MasterChef final took viewers to Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar’s British-Indian fusion restaurant, Benares – and the food was so mouth-watering that viewers couldn’t help but crave a Friday takeaway.
Newsreader Louise Minchin, singer Jimmy Osmond and TV presenter Alexis Conran took on the Chef’s Table challenge, where they were asked to impress some of the UK’s top chefs with their cooking, including Cyrus Todiwala, Alyn Williams and Ed Baines.
That gave viewers regrets about their own dinners …
And the programme may even see a spike in orders to local takeaways.
Others were happy with their own creations…
Even if they weren’t quite as haute cuisine.
In fact, viewers were so impressed by the stern-but-fair Atul that the website for his restaurant actually crashed as eager viewers looked to check out his menus and book a table.
