A Boomtown Fair attendee was left speechless after reuniting Outnumbered star Ramona Marquez with her missing phone following the three-day event.
Connor Parkinson, 18, thought he had found his friend’s lost iPhone 7 during the music festival in Winchester but, after realising he had made a mistake, gave his address to a man who called the number on Monday afternoon claiming it was his.
Hours later, as Parkinson napped following a weekend of dancing, he was awoken by actress Marquez and her father, who had made the phone call.
“I did a double or triple take”, Parkinson said, adding: “I was a bit surprised and then was like ‘are you who I think you are’ and she said yeah.
“I was a big fan when I was a younger, I’d watch it all the time.”
After asking for a quick photo because “my mates won’t believe me”, Parkinson, from Locks Heath, Southampton, sent the picture to his sister.
She promptly posted it to Twitter where it has garnered more than 4,200 retweets and 40,000 likes.
“It’s blown up, it’s just gone mad,” Parkinson said.
He added they talked about the festival but avoided Outnumbered gossip.
“I don’t think she liked being recognised,” he added.
Marquez starred as Karen in Outnumbered which ran on BBC One between 2007 and 2014, returning to the role last year for a one-off Christmas special.
