TWO of North Wales' musical heavyweights will cap off August with a dose of good old fashioned classic rock.

Cover band The Swillers will team up with Crash Landing at the Marine Hotel in Old Colwyn on Friday, August 31.

Crash landing are a blues rock band comprised of three highly experienced musicians who strive to recreate the massive sound of 60s guitar gods in the mould of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Rory Gallagher.

The Swillers are a five piece who typically strut their stuff on the rock circuit over the border, who play anything and everything 70s including the three chord Aussie rock of AC/DC, the towering stadium rock of Queen and the heart wrenching tones of Southern rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd to name but a few.

Mark Haigh, Crash Landing Drummer said: "We really are lucky to be teaming up with them here in Old Colwyn, The Swillers truly are an outstanding classic rock band."

Crash Landing and The Swillers will be at The Marine Hotel on Friday, August 31 at 8pm.

Tickets are £6 and available on the door.
