As the wet weather falls down on the borough once again, thoughts will inevitably turn to flooding.

In their latest production, the Desborough Players focus on all things wet and windy and explore what happens to one family when the floods hit.

Flood warning, written by Fay Weldon and directed by Elizabeth Bogle, features an unfortunate cathedral town where the river has burst its banks.

Much to their dismay, Cynthia and Step’s antique business in the town encounters ground floor flooding and the race is on to save what they can.

With Cynthia laid up with her leg in plaster, all she can do is remark about the rising tide to her husband and daughter, Angela, as the pair do their best to save the business’s stock by bringing it upstairs.

The couples other daughter, Jane, and her partner Trevor are also on hand to help, but it is not long before Jane is insistent on organising everyone and everything in sight.

Tensions begin to rise between the two sisters, who are much like chalk and cheese, and soon a starling announcement is made by Angela as she opens up about another flood and the family secrets which come with it.
