Young actors and directors are invited to take part in three perform performances to celebrate the Shakespeare’s 450th birthday.
Shakespeare in the Park will host three week-long theatre workshops for 10-16 year olds from Elmbridge , who will be asked to think creatively and explore the connections between the Bard’s theatre and his storytelling.
The workshops will be based upon Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a play that includes everything from mischievous fairies to donkey-headed men.
Councillor Mary Sheldon, member for leisure and culture, said: "It is a marvellous opportunity for young budding actors and directors to show off their skills while having fun."
The workshop and rehearsals will take place at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Manor Road, Walton KT12 2PF from Monday, August 11, to Friday, August 15, from 10am to 4pm.
For prices and bookings call 01372 474634 or email leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk.
