Some people stand in the darkness, afraid to step into the light – David Hasselhoff is not one of them.

Baywatch and Knightrider star The Hoff is never afraid of taking a punt, whether it is a role in Sharknado 3 or laughing at himself in the spoof documentary Hoff the Record, and now he’s bringing that fun to the stage.

He stars in Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, which is made by the same people behind Dreamboats and Petticoats and Boogie Nights, and promises to be the party night of the year.

It comes to Croydon’s Fairfield Halls on November 12 and O2 Indigo in Greenwich on November 15.

Hasselhoff plays Rick -an extrovert party-going DJ and club owner in Ibiza in the 90s – whose teenage daughter comes to stay for the summer and he’s faced with being a single parent to a girl who wants to party and meet boys.

It also stars Kim Tiddy, Shane Richie Junior and Stephanie Webber and features a catalogue of 90s party hits.

The Hoff said: “See it. Believe it.  Live it.  This is my motto and I am living it now. I can’t wait to bring something new and different to UK theatre audiences.

“I absolutely love live theatre and the interaction with the audience.  To play a character that I can relate to while celebrating an era of fantastic music is going to be Hofftastic.  Come party Hoffstyle.”

“This is going to be a great production and I can’t wait to see the audience reaction. I guarantee you will be singing all night long.”
